The Path

Up a path, it's through fields
It's so pretty, like a flower
The sun is thinning
We might be in for a heavy shower
Up the gate, we're in a field
We're having some bread
And meringues too
Suddenly I feel something on my head
Run and run to the the car
In we go Carol, you lier
We go home, we are cold
So dad lights a warm, safe fire.

The Farm

Up the farm, across the lane
Chasing cattle up again
Up the yard, in the rain
Catching birds who've flown from Spain
Round the bend to the pigs
Feeding them last year's figs
Read a story, go to bed
Think of sheep and rest your head.

RHYME YOUR BRAIN OFF POEM CLUB - My Little Sister

               RHYME OUR BIN OFFE CLUB
My little sister is scared of bats
She gets queasy near cats
Rats make her jump
Melons make her tense
She's even scared of pens, wrens and even her friends

My little sister is scared of trees and the buzzing above of a harmless bee
She's scared of the calm water in the pool and the wavy water in the sea
  POEM

My little sister  is petrified of me
She screams at tea, she's skinny you see
She’s scared of
Bacon
Ham
Plus fish fingers
Her skin
Peoples thumbs
Things that are numb………..

My little sister is small and weak She's very helpless
Even though she's scared of everything she can see
She CAN TIE HER SHOE LACES BETTER THAN ME !!!

Macla’s Diary and Her New Baby

One   day   her   mum   was   having    a   baby   boy.  Macla   listened  carefully.
“Why a boy,   why   why    why  does  i t have to be a boy all the time”
You   see   Macla       had    6      other     brothers.    She    sobbed    in     a     corner.    She          was    cross.              Mum    knew     she    was     cross      mum     gave    Macla       a   present.
It      was      mum’s  secrets “ooooh” said Macla.   She read carefully.   She learned Mum had hidden my hate book of boys in   a  corner   of the loft she   also   learned Mum  chucks litter on   the  floor.
She  read  and   read.  Soon Mum said   “Sorry   it’s   always  a  boy”.  “That’s OK” interrupted   Macla.  “Don’t    be  so  rude” said Mum.  “I know your secrets   ha ha ha ha ha”  whistled Macla.  Mum said  “I   gave  it  to  you”.
The  next  day  Mum was    carrying  an  ugly  boy   baby.  Mum   said “isn’t  he beautiful.”  “Yes” mumbled  Macla.  “What  did  you  say” said Mum.  “YES” screamed Macla.  The  family  had   a   welcome   cake.  The   baby  was   messy.  Alex and  Sam and  Mike  and Tom   and    Joe  and  Max had loads of cake.  I  did  not   like boys   so  I  did   not  bother   eating.

Macla  wrote   a   family  tree.  There   was   8 boys and  2 girls.  Suddenly   John   the baby  kissed    Macla.  Macla   said  John  could  sleep  in   her  bedroom.   Macla   slept  with  cries   and  screams   it   was  a hard   night.

The  next  morning   Macla liked   boys.  She  threw her   hate  book  of boys, tidied  boys   bedrooms  and   gave boys  comics and was nice and read   stories.

The End.

Gemma     asks      if       you      liked         that       story.    Do     you?       I’ve      got       other    story     plans.
